Sony has now announced a couple of phones in the mid segment: Sony Xperia R1 and R1 Plus, which are expected to be available from November 10 . The saffron party is ahead in 99 of 182 seats, a lower number than in the last elections in 2012, when the BJP won 115 seats. For a victory though, it needs to win just 92 seats. The Congress is trailing, leading in 79 seats. It won 61 seats in 2012.

In sharp contrast to the saffron wave in urban and R-Urban sectors, inhabitants in rural Gujarat voted overwhelmingly in the Congress party's favour. Of a total 109 seats in rural constituencies, the Congress won or is leading in 62 while the BJP and others trail at 43 and 4 seats respectively.

The TOIonline-CVoter exit poll said the BJP is likely to secure 108 seats in the 182-member Gujarat assembly, and the Congress and its allies are expected to win 74 seats.

"It is a matter of happiness for us, this is the victory of development," said Union Minister and BJP leader Smriti Irani.
